What is new?

Well an update on my life since I finally finished my Texas blogging...sorry it took me a while. So I am currently working a part-time shift at Melaleuca..but not fear I do pick up more hours to keep myself busy. The twelve hour month ends are the best and I am looking forward to the one next week. I am also taking an online doctrine and covenants class which is so amazing and I am learning so much in. I am living at birch plaza which is not the nicest apartment ever but I manage to make it somewhere I can call home. I am growing to love my roommates who are all new for this semester and can't wait for my old roommates to return back...I miss them very much.
Funny yet tragic story of the week....on Monday evening for FHE we decided to go the Busby's house to play at the pond, they were nice enough to allow us to do so. We had a great time roasting hot dogs, marshmellows, and starbursts by the fire. Then we decided to go in the pond on the canoes...this is where things started to not go so well. As you can imagine there was some friendly splashing and pretending to tip over each others canoes. Well the boys deceided to go to the island in the middle so we could get them anymore...we wanted to steal there canoe but were unable to when they put the canoe on the island with them and jumped into the canoe. They tried to shove off the island with all three of them in the canoe but failed...I tried to be the hero and help them shove off but they wouldn't budge. Finally the canoe was pushed into the water and the boys tipped the canoe over and plunged into the dark cold waters of the pond. I ran for my canoe since I was still on the island because I knew the boys were coming for us next since they were soaking wet. We didn't quite get pushed off in time and before we knew it our FHE brother was trying to tip our canoe...lucky he failed and we escaped with a little water in our canoe.
We decided to be compassionate on our FHE brothers who were freezing on the island because their canoe had floated away and pick them up in our canoe. I stayed on the island while they took one of our FHE brothers back to shore and when they came back for the next brother I was pulling the canoe up closer to the island so my brother could jump in....something awful happened! I was wearing a hoodie and my keys and cellphone were in the front pocket...yes you guessed it...they fell into the water. It was pitch black outside and my keys and new phone had just fallen into the deep abyss of the pond. My FHE brother took off his shoes and socks and jumped into the water to begin the hopeless search for my keys. After five minutes of searching I told him it was my turn to search...but he protested saying that I was not to get into the water. After fifteen minutes of searching I begged him to get out of the water and that I would look for them tomorrow. I can't believe that he stayed in the water that long...I vote him to get the best FHE brother award ever!
Since we couldn't find my car keys we had no other choice but to ride in our FHE brothers car home...my FHE brother who had spend all that time in the water was freezing and I felt so bad for him so we pretty much shoved ourselves up against him to keep him warm. I was soaked from just sitting next to him....he is seriously like the best person ever!
The story does not end happily...I still have not found my keys or cellphone but I did get a new cellphone, thanks to TJ giving me his old one, and I did find my spare keys that I thought were lost. Even though it was a horrible experience it was a great learning experience . I learned that things may go very wrong and you don't get the result you would like but everything will work out in the end.

Don't Mess with Texas!

One of my favorite pictures of Kaydree at the photo shoot we did.
She is going to be a top model at the age of three....I am so proud.
I couldn't believe it but she posed herself like this and smiled perfectly....the last shot of the day was the perfect picture.
Seems like it runs in the family that we can't keep our eyes open...the sun was super bright. We went to Babe's for dinner...all country dinner. I am holding up our doggy bag of our fried chicken that was left over.
Yeah that is right we were in Texas so of course there was a bench that says Texas on it.
Carver needed his picture taken too during the photo shoot...this was one of my favorites.
I love this picture of Kaydree...she looks so innocent and cute. Don't let pictures fool you!
Another one of my favorites....she looks like a princess!
I love the lighting in this picture. I was just kinda messing around and got a couple of good pictures every once in a while.
I love when Kaydree laughs...I actually caught it on camera.
Texas was so much fun and we did so many fun things that I can't even count but to list a few:
Went to the gardens to take pictures of Kaydree
Went to Babe's...amazing fried chicken and potatoes
Went to Cabellas...the zoo and looked a stuffed animals
We had Kaydree's birthday pary with 17 kids between the age of 2-4
Me and Kaydree learned how to be princesses and had tea...many times
Had preschool and gained a couple of three year olds as friends
Shopped...way too much according to my dad...but not enough according to me
Played in the park....a lot of swinging
Went to a lake and got sand in my pants....Kaydree insisted on burying me in the sand
Watched Tyra almost everyday...as I would fall asleep
Ate amazing food....thanks to Carrie!
Helped make ladybug pupcakes
Cleaned the church
Watched Kung Pow Panda...lots of popcorn!
Went to Fort worth ate the most amazing peanut buttercup, read in barnes in noble, and kissed a bull
Yeah I think we did more but you get the idea...so much fun!
Thank you so much Ryan, Carrie, Kaydree, and Carver for making Texas feel like home.
